Team USA Named Mark DeRosa as Manager for 2023 World Baseball Classic

Mark DeRosa spent 16 years playing in the MLB. Also, he played in almost all positions in the field except for pitcher, catcher, and center field. Now he will be the one to decide where to place players during the 2023 World Baseball Classic after Team USA named him as manager of the squad.
Team USA GM Tony Reagins made the announcement on MLB Central, the morning show which has DeRosa as a co-host. Reagins said that they picked DeRosa for his leadership and ability to communicate.
According to baseball betting reports, DeRosa was part of the 2009 WBC squad. Also, he will debut as the manager as the team tries to defend its title. DeRosa said he is humbled and honored to be the Team USA manager.
2023 World Baseball Classic Manager
DeRosa will be accountable for a stacked squad that will undoubtedly be one of the top picks when the competition starts in March. Mike Trout, Nolan Arenado, Bryce Harper, JT Realmuto, Paul Goldschmidt, Trevor Story, and Pete Alonso have committed to being part of the team. However, Team USA will release the official roster in February. At present, DeRosa has a lot of talent to choose from.
According to a betting software company, the US title defense will start in Pool C play in Phoenix, Arizona, from March 11 to 15. After that, they will face Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and a to-be-resolved qualifying group.
