The legal team of WNBA star Brittney Griner told the Russian court that doctors prescribed medical cannabis for her chronic pain. The lawyers submitted a letter from a US medical center that prescribed the use of medical cannabis. According to the letter, Griner uses medical cannabis to treat chronic pain due to sports injuries.

Mark Pope has been appointed the new Kentucky basketball coach. Notably, he served as the 1996 national championship squad captain and has successfully led the BYU basketball program for the past five seasons.
