Johnny Manziel Gets Charged with Assault

When things just couldn’t get any worst for out of work, former Brown Quarterback Johnny Manziel, he get indicted with assaulting his former girlfriend, Colleen Crowley.
Straight out of a TV soap opra, Manziel was formally indicted today by a Dallas County grand jury for a single misdemeanor domestic violence charge. The charge came from when an incident that took place with his former girlfriend back in January and can carry a maximum one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
According to Jim Darnell, Manziel’s lead attorney, Manziel will probably plead not guilty and believes that he will be acquitted of all charges. According to the District Attorney’s Office, Crowley said that Manziel threatened to kill her and himself after repeatedly striking her after they had left a bar in Dallas on January 30th, 2016.
The NFL is currently investigating whether his he has violated its ersonal conduct policy after the incided and Dallas prosecutors will present their case on Thursday.
The indictment comes after his agent, Drew Rosenhaus who terminated his representation of Manziel earlier this month. Rosenhaus who represents several NFL players said that Manziel has a lot of problems he needs to deal with and that he must be held accountable for his actions.
Manziel said that he will do whatever is necessary to return to play in the NFL this coming up season. The Browns had selected Manziel in the 2014 draft and he was their second of two-first round picks that year. Right now, most sports betting software companies, handicappers and sportsbooks are betting that he will not be back on the field again.
His two seasons with the Cleveland Brown was full of problems on and off the field and he was terminated on March 11, 2016.
