Each of these two teams is lead by stars and the power of same.
With Chicago its C. Crawford, M. Hossa, P. Kane, and J. Toews who led their team through the 3 rounds of playoffs in the West, finalizing with a victory over the Ducks of Anaheim in the final Game 7 at 7-3. If a team has any type of an edge in this game, it’s the Blackhawks as the core of their roster has players who won the Cup back in 2010 and in 2013, while the Lightning has not seen a playoff final dating back to the 2004 season.
For the Tampa Bay Lightning, they have 6 top forwards whom are led by a trio line of N. Kucherov, O. Palat and T. Johnson, and they coupled with their team captain S. Stamkos have scored some 80% of Tampa Bay’s goals in the 3 beginning rounds of the playoffs. The goal keeper for the Lightning, B. Bishop is tops for all goal keepers in this 2015 playoffs as he has had 3 shutouts, and that includes games 5 and 7 while on the road playing against the always tough N.Y. Rangers.
Both teams also depend a lot on the possession of the puck during the games, and their team speeds. The Blackhawks in the playoffs when leading after 2 periods have been 32-0-0 in regular season. Meanwhile Tampa Bay when they have scored first is 9-0-0 while the 3 shutouts for Tampa Goalies, ironically they won 2-0.
The experts predict the Blackhawks Chicago will take the series in Game 6 to win the 2015 Stanley Cup with an OT win over the Lightning of Tampa Bay and win their 3rd title in the past six seasons.
