AmericasBookie Sportsbook Review Sportsbook Review

We thought we would write a review with AmericasBookie since they recently acquired a majority ownership of and we wanted to know more about this online sportsbook.

This is another sportsbook that is located in Costa Rica which is owned and operated by Robbie McPhail who is the owner of RDG Corps.  Mr. McPhail was also the owner of Apex Sports which ended up going bankrupt leaving several players hanging with a balance owed to them.

In 2005, he opened AmericasBookie which began with many complaints and issues two years after opening its doors to the public.  The have continued since then and remain a low grade sportsbook because they have a tendency to limit your limits, action, bet type and what sports you can bet on when a player starts to win.

If you are a constant loser at this book, then they are several advantages of using this bookmaker include competitive bonuses, live betting, fast payout, referral program and gamblers insurance.

AmericasBookie Staff Review

One of our sportsbook reviewer opened an account with them in early May via his cell phone.  He never made a deposit and rather waited to see how long it would take before he received a follow up call or email.  Within 24 hours, he did receive a phone call from one of their sales representative asking him if he needed any help making his deposit or had any questions.

In the end, our undercover reviewer ended up depositing $350 using his Western Union for a 50% bonus with a 5 time rollover.  He wanted to use his credit card but found out they do not accept them which made us skeptical about this operation as most sportsbook that are worth playing at do have the credit card option available to first time depositor.

After two week of playing and making a killing on betting on NBA basketball, he had a balance of $2,732 and some change and had met his rollover.  When he asked for a payout of $2,000, he was first accused of being a sharp player and after a long discussion, was told that his payout would be processed and that he would receive his payout information which would be in the form of a cashier check.  He asked for the money now but was told that at the moment, a cashier’s check was the only available option because of the amount of the payout.

2 days later, he received an email telling him that he would receive the check by mail and that it would take up to 30 business days.

When he went back to play the NBA finals in his account, he noticed that he was not allowed to play the money line on the NBA and that several soccer leagues were no longer available to him anymore.

When he asked about it, he was told that he was a sharp player and that in order to protect themselves, they had  to limit his betting options.

Our tester was of course very upset and complained about it and he was told that he is lucky that they did not shut down his account and kept his money.  At the moment, he is still waiting on his payout and we will keep you update as to when he will receive it.

Bottom line, we do not recommend playing with them at this time.  If you are looking for a reliable sportsbook for your sports betting action we recommend using or one of our preferred sportsbooks.
