A surprise Announcement from Andrew Luck, the Quarterback for the Colts
A few days ago the NFL world was taken by surprise when Andrew Luck made an announcement about retiring from the game just a few days before the start of the 2019 NFL season. This is because during an interview, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback gave his reasons for his retirement during an emotional press conference after the Colts' preseason loss to the Chicago Bears.
According to the interview, Luck described why he came to the decision saying he's been stuck in this process. Furthermore he said that he "hasn't been able to live the life I want to live - taking the joy out of this game. And after 2016, where I played in pain and was unable to regularly practice, I made a vow to myself that I would not go down that path again."
