In less than two short weeks, the New England Patriots will be taking on the Atlanta Falcons to see which team will be crowned the King of the NFL!
It was no big surprised to the football handicappers that last Sunday, the Patriots defeated the Steelers; however, the books did not expect the Falcons to cover the spread when they crushed the Packers with a final score of 44-21.
Now that both teams are set for Super Bowl 51, the big question is whether the Falcons can defeat the Patriots. The Patriots are no strangers to being in the Super Bowl headline and this will be their 7th Super Bowl under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady at the helm.
For the Atlanta Falcons, this will be their second time going to the Super Bowl in their franchise history and the city of Atlanta has high hopes that coach Dan Quinn will turn this battle into a Super Bowl ring for them.
This season, Atlanta has had an MVP level quarterback with Matt Ryan which should place them on par against Tom Brady. Both teams have amazing offensive power and in the end, it may come down to who has the best defense.
Arguably, the New England Patriots have the better defense and Atlanta did choke during their last sting at the Super Bowl back in 1999 but hopeful Falcons fans are hoping that this year will be the year of the Falcons!
So far, many sports handicappers believe that the Patriots will defeat the Falcons and the online sportsbooks seem to agree as the Super Bowl LI odds opened with the Patriots as the clear favorite at a -3 point spread.
The Over/Under for the Super Bowl started at a whopping 57.5 points and since then, has climbed to 59 and in some sportsbook 60 points!
