Guardian Caps Make NFL Football Safer

The National Football League will allow players to wear Guardian Caps in the upcoming regular season. This is the first time the league has allowed players to do so. The league made it mandatory for specific positions to wear it during the 2022 preseason, expanding the utilization of the protective gear.
Wrapping a standard helmet with the cushioned, soft-shell Guardian Cap absorbs contact and reduces the impact of hard crashes and the likelihood of concussions. Upon their introduction in 2022, the NFL claimed that players wearing the Guardian Caps might mitigate the effects of head collisions by 10%. According to bookie pay per head experts, twenty percent is a reasonable estimate if every player used them.
The 2022 and 2023 seasons had almost the same number of player concussions: 213 in the former and six more in the latter. The number of concussions has been decreasing since 2018. According to the NFL, approximately 1.6 concussion examinations were performed per game in 2023. A concussion diagnosis was made approximately once every three to four assessments.

Yesterday, Super Bowl LVIII marked the end of 2023-24 NFL football season and it was one for the history books. The team signed Jerod Mayo to replace him a day after Bill Belichick left the New England Patriots. Thus, Mayo became the 15th head coach in its history. The team formally introduced the new head coach to the public at a news conference. Also, he is currently the youngest coach in the National Football League.
The Minnesota Vikings were able to shock the Green Bay Packers last week. But they did it not necessarily with a big display of offense under new coach Kevin O'Connell, but with a defensive effort that shut down Aaron Rodgers and his new group of receivers. Now they face a different challenge as they go on the road to face the
