We are now about to go into Week 14 of the NFL and by now most of us and the football handicappers have a good idea as to which team will make the playoffs. This is of course, except for a few teams that are not on maybe-ground for the playoffs.
For example, the Dallas Cowboys just might clinch a playoff spot if the Redskins or the Packers lose on Sunday but of course, they would rather make the playoffs by defeating the Giants.
One the other end of the spectrum we have the Atlanta Falcons. After last Sunday’s 29-28 defeat by the Chiefs, the Falcons are now on shaky grounds about making the playoffs and winning the NFC South.

It was a definite underdog weekend with the Carolina Panthers and the Arizona Cardinals, two of the most respected teams in the league each dropping to 1-3.
The big news is how the New England Patriots received a beat down from the Buffalo Bills that ended with a final score of 16-0. The Patriots had a great start this season despite Tom Brady’s suspension but it looks like realty is finally catching up with the Patriots without Tom Brady at the helm.

Last night was probably one of the ugliest match-up that we will see this NFL season. Let’s be honest and say it straight off the bat that the game was so bad, neither team deserved to win. When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers took the field, football betting fans around the world thought that the Panthers had that game in the bag.
They and several football handicappers were wrong. The final score ended up being 17-14 for the Buccaneers even though it looked like both teams looked like they just didn’t care about winning.
Considering that the Panthers’ were last year’s NFC champion, it is a surprise to see that they are sad 1-4 this season and are currently in last place on the NFC South.

The American Gaming Association is doing everything it can to support sports betting and their latest study has shown that TV networks should seriously consider advertising sports betting. The survey began with 1,500 Americans who were old enough to bet on sports and 500 of them were regular bettor.
The survey showed that the sports bettor usually watched 19 more games per season than the ones that did not bet on sports. This means that even though sports bettors make up only 25% of the NFL audience, they make up almost 50% of all of the watched NFL games during the regular season.
These numbers are certainly to have an impact on the thinking of television network companies as it would increase the NFL viewing by 36% which is a jump from 40 million to 57 million viewers.
